Course objectives
The Marco Polo/Turandot Program has two main objectives:
- Ensure consistent and continuous daily exposure to the Italian language to enable students to achieve an initial B1/B2 level, with the goal of continuous growth in language skills in subsequent years.
- Promote the integration of students into Italian culture through proposed cultural and recreational experiences.
Course structure
During the 2025/2026 academic year, we will include:
- 800 hours of Italian language and culture courses, from beginner to advanced levels of Italian
- Regular extracurricular activities
A minimum attendance of 85% is required to successfully complete the program.
At the end of the course, students will be able to take the CILS exams at the University of Pavia and Pavia's own language test. Multiple exams will help students to pass the exams and obtain their language certificates, and ultimately to reach the B1/B2 level of the Italian language.
