Find below information about fees, payment and our refund policy. 

The tuition fee for the Program Marco Polo/Turandot amounts to €6000.00.

The tuition fee includes:

  • Italian language and culture course
  • Liability insurance
  • Tutoring
  • Access to the University services (access to libraries, student discounts)
  • Registration for the CILS certification exam for the August 2026 session (B1 or B2 level)
  • Test fee of the Italian language test organized by the University of Pavia at the end of August/beginning of September 2026

The tuition fee does NOT includes:

  • Room and board
  • Rides to and from the airport 
  • Meals and beverages
  • Visa expenses
  • Medical and travel insurance
  • 16€ revenue stamp for the issuance of the final certificate.

Tuition must be paid in one lump sum, not in installments, through a bank transfer to the account of the University of Pavia indicated in the registration form.

After the payment, please send the receipt to qian.xue@unipv.it to get your acceptance letter issued.

 

  1. If a student is denied a visa or requests a withdrawal due to family or personal reasons before November 15, 2025, the university will refund the paid tuition fee, deducting 100 euros to cover administrative costs and bank transfer fees incurred during the refund process.

  2. If a student fails to obtain a visa by November 15, 2025, they may begin classes online. Since the language courses at the University of Pavia are not designed as distance learning programs, online classes are only offered as a provisional arrangement to help students keep up with the curriculum while awaiting their visa. These online classes will be available only until January 31, 2026. If a student is denied a visa, fails to secure one, or withdraws due to family or personal reasons before the end of the online classes, the university will refund the paid tuition fee, deducting 25% to cover course fees, administrative costs, and bank transfer fees incurred during the refund process.

  3. If a student applies for withdrawal after obtaining the visa, the university will not refund the paid tuition fee.

  4. The University of Pavia will provide necessary assistance during the student’s remittance and visa application process, making every effort to support the student in obtaining their visa.
